On the occassion of Thinking Day Tuesday 22nd February 2022, the Kenya Girl Guides Association honoured their long serving members.
Among the recipients were Chairman of the Hawkers Market Girls Centre, Mrs. Honorine Kiplagat, Chairman of Trustees KGGA
Shariffa Keshavjee, Trustee KGGA.
The Olave Baden Powell Award was presented by the First Lady of Kenya, patron of KGGA, Her Excellency Lady Margaret Kenyatta.
This was a special thinking day for Kenya as it celebrated 100 years of Guiding.
The Olave Baden Powell Award is in recognition of a Guide putting service above self.
Mrs Keshavjee’s work with the Girl Guides at the Hawkers Market Girls Centre for over 30 years was recognized.
